ANSONIA BLENHEIM TABLE CLOCK
This is the Ansonia ‘Blenheim’ that is an 8-day time and strike clock from the turn of the past century. Ansonia made a series of 12 of these metal clocks, which are in their Colonial Brass Finish. All too often, the brass finish is in poor to very poor condition. This one is in very good to excellent condition and is a strong runner and a good recorder of the passage of time.
This beauty stands 10 ½ inches high and is 7 ¼ inches wide. She does weigh in at an impressive 12 pounds so do not take her lightly. This series are all steel housings with the Colonial Brass Finish. As I have said this clock is in very good condition and you will be proud to show her. You will find that there are not too many of these around because if mistreated the brass finish turns poor. If you happen to buy one the needs to be cleaned up you will find they do not. Once this finish is gone or pitted, it is what it has become. A good reason to buy clocks that you know a little bit about. I should add that this clock does not have this issue and will not as long as she is cared for correctly. Please note that the back is missing on this item. There are a number of ways to replace this if you want or simply leave it as it is. THE STARTING BID FOR THE ANSONIA BLENHEIM IS 90.00. THE BID NUMBER IS ITEM 29 Shipping with in the United States is 29.75.
