E. N. Welch  1870’s Short Drop   

I am pleased to offer at a starting bid of 100.00 an outstanding E.N. Welch Short Drop Clock in outstanding Rosewood Case.  I do have a weakness towards Rosewood but this clock does exceed my expectation.   As in most things, these are always standouts among the normal and so it is here.  The selection of the Rosewood is outstanding. 

This was probably professionally refinished 30 years ago or more.  The movement was cleaned and oiled 6 months ago and put way for this auction.  Seldom will you find an original, right down to the clock hands, and know that it is as advertised and it is room ready.   There are no breaks, repairs, replacement, additions or subtraction and the dial is original with only minor paint lose.  If you want a great example of the American Clock here it is.

There are a few spots of missing veneer but these are small and not noticeable.  The top glass is probably newer but the bottom looks original

OVERALL LOOK:  This is and excellent example of the American Clock from the 1870’s.  It is working and ready for your home.  I would put this in a spot when many will see it.
