Mulure Iron Face Clock

This is a very early time-only clock by Mulure. This may not be a familiar name to some of you but from 1850 to 1875  you will see many examples of his work. His fame came from his ability to produce very high quality casting for all of the other clock firms to use. His firm also produced some clocks using other clock companies works, usually these are not marked.  Take a look at the detail in this casting and find lines that he was able a to achieve.

This clock stands 13 ½ inches high and is 9 ¾ inches across the base.  The label in this clock is outstanding.  Rremember this is about 150 years old.

NOTE that the works are pined.  Usually say it was made before 1860.  This is 30 hour time only.  PLEASE NOTE the location of the winding hole.  Many of the very early clocks have winding locations at 2 OK and others at 10.

This is all original with the exception of the pendulum, which is probable 100 years old.  It has been cleaned and professionally restored and will give you years trouble free service.  Whether you are a beginner or adding to your current collection this is an excellent example of an important early case maker.
