Hamilton 992 Rail Road Pocket WatchFor your consideration, I have a prime example of the quality and workmanship that Hamilton put into their 21 Jewel 992 Railroad Pocket Watches. This is Item 8 of the Auction and is a 21 Jewels, 16 Size, stem wind and lever set watch keeps excellent time. There is a little brassing on the back cover and a small nick at the 11 position on the back cover. Try as I might these pictures are as good as I could get of the back cover. Both the front and back covers go on with ease. This is a very clean offering and it is working and an excellent recorder of the passage of time. If you are new to the Rail Road Pocket Watch market the Hamilton, 992 and the Illinois Bunn Special are considered the Benchmark of Rail Road Grade Time Pieces. This would be a great watch for a collection, just beginning or advanced. This is a very good time keeper and a great watch to wear. There is a Train out line of the back of the cover. Much of the design has worn but it is still visible as you can see.
