ILLINOIS WATCH PRIVATE BRAND for FUNDDULAC WIS
In the later 1800’s private branding was quite popular. Larger firms had other label there items this way and by the 1890’s even the smaller companies were using this system. Here we have a very clean and working 14 gage watch that is pendent wind and set. This means that you wind it and set it at the watch crown. This watch is an excellent watch, as were all of the Illinois watches. This would be a great addition to a collection or for your first time pocket watch. The dial is in excellent condition and has the name of “John P Hess, Fonddulac Wis. There are a few dents here and there on the back cover but nothing out of the normal. This is also a nice size for carrying and is about two inches across. Really great workmanship from the world as it once was.
