Wm. L. GILBERT CURFEWTOP BELL IS STRUCK TO CALL THE HOURThis is the type of clock I love to offer, for it has it all. It is Original, not common, working, condition excellent, nothing added and nothing taken way. The CURFEW by Gilbert is one of the clocks that are necessary for any collection. This is a real stand out at 17 ˝ inches high and the visible bell and Ca. 1905-15. The bell is struck each hour on the very nice tuned top bell. This clock does speak for its self and it is one that people will always notice. This one has all of the original stencils on the case. This stenciling is in excellent condition. This is one of those clocks that any collector dreams about …original…complete….and in 9 to 9.5 condition.
The movement is original to this case and it is the correct movement. The dial is correct and original and in great condition. Often you will see these clocks with new dial because of the past use.
