1935 WALTHAM MINIATURE BANJO

Not all clocks need to be large to be distinctive and ones people remember.  I have any number of larger clocks but often people remember seeing my   Waltham Miniature Banjo.  These were made in the late 1930’s to before WW 11 and are very distinctive.  In fact, I do not know of another clock of this size and quality.

This is a high quality clock with an 8-day balance wheel movement. The glass in these clock high were  quality reverse painting and the one here is My Verona and George.   This particular Waltham is in excellent condition and there is no flecking of the reverse painting.  It is and 8 day clock with the wood being a selected walnut.  Although she is just over 20 inches tall and 5 ½ wide she is a stand out.   You do not often see these for two reasons: the first being that few were made and second once they are in a collection they stay there.

You will enjoy her company and she will serve you well.  She has an open back.
