Ansonia Blue and White Porcelain China Clock
This is a very nice porcelain clock by Ansonia. It is of good size but will not get in the way of others. She stands some 12 inches high and is 8 ½ inches wide. The dial is a snow white 4 inch porcelain with a few very minor chips around the winding hole. I attempted to picture them but too small to show. If I would not mention them I would believe they would go unnoticed that is how minor they are. It is 8 day running and is a standard round Ansonia movement, which uses the rack and snail type strike system. Ansonia only used this clock movement on a few clocks at the higher end. I have just cleaned this clock and it will be good for a number of years. This is important to note because you do not need to worry if you will need to expend additional money in the near future. I am sure that some of you have a great collection of Ansonia Royal Bonn china clocks but I find that this will be noticed because of it design, proportions and colors. I would not pass this by just because it did not have the Royal Bonn of approval. There are a few nick her and there but none that I could point to. They are small and unless you are 6 inches away you will not see them. The only other note is the small back plate is missing. If this is a bother they are available on line or from a number of suppliers.
