Seth Thomas Metal Series Clock

Seth Thomas was one of the most prolific clock maker’s in America with this being one that you seldom see.  This is one of a series called the Metal Series.  This is oak veneer with the decoration being metal trim.  All too often, the trim is missing here and there but in this example, it is complete.

You can put this working 8-day time and strike mantel clock into your home right now.  There are a few places where the veneer is missing, right at the top and on the right top side.  There is a nice label on the back and one on the inside bottom.  The inside one is not legible.

This clock shows very well being taller than most at 22 ¾ high and 14 ¾ inches wide. It appears to be all-original with the possible exception of the pendulum. The finish may be original or an older refinishing I cannot tell for sure.  It would befit with a good cleaning as would the mechanism but I would enjoy this clock as she stands for now. Other than the veneer, mentions above there are no other breaks, repairs, replacement, additions or subtraction.

The dial is a nicely aged Seth Thomas Dial original to this clock and the movement, case and glass are all original to one another.  The dial is 5 ¼ inches in diameter.  This strikes on the hour and on the half hour on a wire gong.

THE STARTING BID OF THE SETH THOMAS METAL SERIES IS $95.00. THE BID NUMBER IS ITEM O5.
The shipping cost with in the US is $29.00.
